AI Mesh Node question

I have an Asus RT-AX88U router as my main wireless router. I am looking to get better coverage on the upper level of my home. I have ethernet cable run throughout the entire house. Would I be better off getting a WAP or a second router to use as an AI Mesh node? If so which router or WAP do you recommend?
