Help with Ram speed !

So I recently built my first PC. I purchased 979385 G.SKILL 32GB 2X16 D4 3600 TRZ RGB ram and I cannot get it to overclock to 3600mhz... when i set the xmp profile to on and the speed goes to 3600mhz the pc has erratic restarts. I have been trying to google and find different solutions but still no resolution. I will attach my build specs below. Please if there is something that you can think of let me know. I'm concerned I didn't do something correct, however i have been gaming on the pc and haven't had any other issues.

  • So I have issues like this all the time. I can tell you that the GPU is not what's causing the RAM to run at the rated speeds. Something that I always have to do, instead of setting XMP Profile on (which rarely works for me), is manually set the speed of the RAM. Work it up incrementally starting at like 2666MHz, and eventually get up to 3600MHz. If at any point the PC starts having random shut-offs or erratic behavior as you described try increasing the voltage for the RAM. Work that up in the smallest increments possible (0.15V if possible, but 0.25V is fine too). I'm no expert or anything, but this is what works for me. Let me know how it goes for you!
