Installed 3060ti, now my PC wont detect monitors as audio output?

I can see the display on my monitors, and I have updated the drivers through Nvidia, but I get no sound through my monitors, and they won't show up under anything for output options.  Through some trial and error, I have found that I can get sound through hooking up an Aux. cable from my monitor to my PC, also, if I put my old GTX1070 BACK in my system, the monitors have sound once again. 

Is this a problem with the 3060ti? Or perhaps my motherboard is incompatible with the new cards in some way?

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you're experiencing. 
Did you install the RTX 3060 Ti drivers after video card installation?

If so, have you tried completely removing the old GTX1070 driver and installing the new RTX 3060 Ti driver?

I tried the DDU as well as re-downloading the drivers.  I'm not sure if the problem is the driver if the current driver has sound on the 1070 but not the 3060? I'm just starting to think there's a problem with this GPU.
