Closed For Deep Cleaning
My store in Houston TX says that it is closed for deep cleaning. Is there an ETA for when it will be open again?

As of seven pm, Houston's back to "Temporarily closed for deep cleaning" in the header again. Given that this is now the second day in a row that y'all've abruptly closed the shop early for a deep cleaning, any chance of y'all starting up curbside pickup at this location? It'd REALLY ease my mind about shopping with y'all right now.

Hello @bibulb thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum. We understand the concern and will forward a request to the Houston Store Leadership team and General Manager on curbside pickup. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I apologize in advance for the lengthy post, though it is troubling how a store that does not offer curbside pickup during a pandemic is poorly handling in-person shopping. Today would have been the third day in a row the Houston store has closed spontaneously for Deep Cleaning. It closed early Monday, Tuesday, and today, Wednesday. I appreciate the protocols in place, though it is frustrating for customers when this is happening spontaneously without any communication. On Monday, I visited the store to find a very confused group of people gathered outside, wondering why they were not able to enter. There were employees inside, but nobody thought to inform those outside that it was closed until tomorrow. We were waiting for a while, unsure if the store was closed for a few minutes or definitively for the night. We were finally informed by another customer that the store would reopen tomorrow, as he asked customer service online. Then, on Tuesday I utilized the Microcenter customer service text support to ask if the store would be open during regular hours tonight as it closed early the previous day. The person told me it would be open until 10 pm. Except...it wasn't. I was in the store around 7 pm when an employee abruptly told us "we have to clear the store, everybody out." It's not the protocols we have a problem with. It's the lack of communication, especially when some of your customers are driving from cities that are further away.If the stores need to be closed for deep cleaning, it might be better to have a scheduled break in between the hours of operation for deep cleaning. This way, the protocols could be implemented in a way that does not cause inconvenience to the customer three times in a row.

Three days in a row of unplanned closures in the immediate run-up to Christmas isn't an "inconvenience" to me - it's a sign that y'all have a serious problem. Can we get a statement here from the Houston Store Leadership team and General Manager as to a specific reason for NOT implementing curbside pickup?
