johnx said: Does Microcenter sell Linux systems? I did a search for "Linux" onyour web site, and nothing came up.I bought a Windows 10 laptop from you last year, but it's becominginefficient because Microsoft more and more frequently takes controlof the system to install crapware (ads, promotions, and other crapetc.), which makes the system almost unavailable for anywhere from 15minutes to a couple of hours at a time. This used to happen once ortwice a week, but now it's happened almost every day for the lastthree weeks.I can do 95% of my work on a Linux system. So I want to get a Linuxlaptop and network it to the Windows laptop, and move most over myfiles to the Linux laptop.I have an old monitor that works great, and has an HDMI input and aVGA input. The Windows laptop is using the HDMI input, so it would begreat if the Linux laptop uses the VGA input, since it's easy toswitch back and forth. But when I do a search for "Linux" on microcenter.com, nothing comesup. So what do I do?
Question: If you use the 'linux over windows' method does that mean the machine boots to linux as default but gives tha opton to boot to windows?
Good afternoon @particleman
SO for this if you were to setup a dual boot for the computer it would boot up and have you select which operating system you want to boot up to each time. if you were to delete windows and then install Linux on it then it would just boot to Linux automatically since there will be only one os.
