Does Microcenter sell Linux systems?  I did a search for "Linux" on
your web site, and nothing came up.

I bought a Windows 10 laptop from you last year, but it's becoming
inefficient because Microsoft more and more frequently takes control
of the system to install crapware (ads, promotions, and other crap
etc.), which makes the system almost unavailable for anywhere from 15
minutes to a couple of hours at a time.  This used to happen once or
twice a week, but now it's happened almost every day for the last
three weeks.

I can do 95% of my work on a Linux system.  So I want to get a Linux
laptop and network it to the Windows laptop, and move most over my
files to the Linux laptop.

I have an old monitor that works great, and has an HDMI input and a
VGA input.  The Windows laptop is using the HDMI input, so it would be
great if the Linux laptop uses the VGA input, since it's easy to
switch back and forth.

But when I do a search for "Linux" on microcenter.com, nothing comes
up.  So what do I do?

Greetings. We do not sell Linux, you could look into a Windows laptop and installing Linux on it yourself if you would like to. Linux is not something we would provide service / troubleshooting for at Micro Center.

@johnx just to add, below is a video of how to install Ubuntu as a subsystem to windows 10 on the same computer. Or you could get another windows machine and just install a Linux OS over windows. Some of the Linux Distros are below that you can download to USB. We've also add a video on how to install Linux.

Question: If you use the 'linux over windows' method does that mean the machine boots to linux as default but gives tha opton to boot to windows?

    Good afternoon @particleman

SO for this if you were to setup a dual boot for the computer it would boot up and have you select which operating system you want to boot up to each time. if you were to delete windows and then install Linux on it then it would just boot to Linux automatically since there will be only one os.
