3070 vs 6800

I am going to play games, like Valorant and COD Cold War, but I have not finished my rig. I do not know whether to choose a 6800 or 3070, because I have decided the model of it. I do edit videos for my school, but it would be helpful to know whether the 3070 or 6800 is more justifiable.

Or, alternatively, should I pay more for a 6800XT/3080?

I'd say go with the 6800 XT, if you are already rocking some AMD hardware. Even if you aren't, I'd go with it today just so you don't have to upgrade tomorrow.
