Sata Ports
Options
I built my pc today and when i was putting in my SSD and HHD I didn't know which goes to which cord from the motherboard. My motherboard has the sata ports labeled 0, 1,2, 3 so does the SSD go to 0 or 1 and does the HHD go to 0 or 1. Because the video i watched just said this will go to sata port 1 because its our secondary drive but I couldn't tell if he was talking about the SSD or HHD. Let me know when you can. Thank You

Hello @AjayShamma the port that you plug it into should not matter greatly. I'd recommend making sure that it's a 6.0Gb/s port. As long as that is the case, it should function the same as the rest. You will be able to install the OS to the drive that you choose. It will give you the option to choose which drive you'd like to install the OS to when you go through the install steps.I would strongly recommend the SSD for your OS, as the SSD will be much faster than an HDD.Hope this helps!

what is an os

oh is that operating system
-
if so i plan on putting windows 10 and my drivers on the ssd so its faster and games on my hhd

My apologies, yes, the OS is the Operating System. That sounds like a good idea. Some games to benefit from a faster drive as well. If a game has a lot of load times, I'd recommend adding them to your SSD as well!

ok so it doesn't matter which sata port it goes in as long as i start at zero

You can start at any port number on your motherboard. They are numbered for your reference when in the BIOS of the motherboard.
