Problem with SD card reader.
I recently bought an SD card reader to download certain programs to put onto my wii. My PC recognizes the reader, but doesn't show a folder that I can drop the programs into. Do I need something that can write to the SD card? Is there a problem elsewhere? Help please!

Greetings @Speedy_Sloth
No, you should plug it in and the SD card should mount, and appear in File Explorer. What card reader did you buy and have you tested multiple SD cards? Does the SD card your using have anything on it? -
The SD card is brand new, and I will test more SD cards. I bought the IOGear Duo USB Card Reader/Writer, with USB-C and USB-A ports. I am plugging the USB-C to my computer, and it shows up but not in file explorer.

@TSMikeW
It doesn't look like it's detected. All it's showing is my C and D drives; my SSD and Hard Drive -
@Speedy_Sloth
Well, we need to figure out if it's the card reader or the card. Do you have another SD card to test with? Or another device you can test the SD card on? -
@TSMikeW
I tried it with a different card and it worked! Thank you so much. Time to do unspeakable thin gs to my wii

@Speedy_Sloth
I am glad we could help solve this problems for you. I have personally had a lot of problems with the microSD adapters rather than readers themselves. So if you are using an adapter for yours, you can always try a different adapter with that same microSD card to see if that might be the issue.
Of course if you had other questions or ran into any other problems, we are happy to help.
