Need Help Choosing Parts
I put this parts list together and am looking for some advice.

Hello @RogueWave. Everything looks great. The only thing you want to change is the optical drive. The case you chose doesn't have a slot for installation. If that's a necessity, I would consider an external optical drive like this one here.

Yes, you could use a drive from an old system as your boot drive. However, some setup would be required. I'd recommend cloning the data to a new drive instead. That way you do not risk losing your data! Hope this info helps!

Hello @RogueWave I agree with the other comments but I'd suggest an upgrade to your NVMe SSD. You have very nice components picked out and the Inland drive is out of place. For a performance drive that matches your build I wouldn't go below the Crucial P5 and I highly suggest Samsung if you have the budget. Crucial is my go-to for SSD storage but if you're looking for a drive that matches the rest of your build Samsung is a good choice.
