Brand new build from Microcenter with intermittent boot.

Have to literally unplug cord from the PSU wait a sec or two, then plug back in.  Then it boots. (mostly)   Subsequent tests with shutting it off then back on there is no problem.  It seems to be only when it is off for a while.  May be returning this build soon.  My case is the Lian LI Lancool 215 and power supply is the Focus GX650 Gold board is Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro.  I've seen other post recently with the same problem.   This PC was bought for a Xmas present but it's having some serious boot issues.  Do I need an appt to return and for you guys to replace the components?  The problem is likely the PSU but yes it could be the board.  My case is the Lian LI Lancool 215 and power supply is the Focus GX650 Gold, board is the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi Intel LGA 1151 ATX.  Microcenter built this machine.

It sounds like your build is not coming out of sleep/hibernation. Have you tried any of these recommendations?

I'd be happy to work through this with you more, once I've heard back from you. 😊

It's not sleep or hib related.  It's seems to be when it's powered off after a while.  Have to unplug the PSU to get it to boot.

Cold boot issue is the best description when you see that behavior. To verify though, the unit does power on, then hangs on POST until you discharge it? That would be a cold boot issue. If it won't power on at all, that's different. Please clarify. If the former, we'll need to know which debug LED is lit in the bottom right of the board. And what type of memory you  have specifically.

It's a cold boot problem.  Machine does nothing.  Memory is Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 CL16 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit CMK16GX4M2D3200 - Black.

I will look for lights and snap pic when it happens again.  It's on most of the time now for kids school and I'm afraid to shut off, afraid it may not start at all next time.  I will start shutting down.
