Warranty on Dell monitor not thorough- Complaint

My pet recently spilled water on my new $400 monitor, and there is very obvious water damage. I thought on the sight they cover for "spills and accidental damages" as that is what the protection plan notes on the website. Could I have some clarification on why I was not offered or even notified of other protection plans? Seems a little shady to do to loyal customers.

  • Hello @DaveAdam Welcome to the community!
I'm assuming that you're inquiring about our protection plans and replacement plans as we do have two different types of plans available.
If you're referring to our Replacement Plan, that would cover hardware defects and failure under normal operation of the device.
If you've purchased an Accidental Damage or Handling Plan, that would cover normal operation as well as from failures resulting from, liquid spills, drops, and bumps.
If you have your reference number from your receipt I would be happy to look further into this for you.
