Monitor inputs on desktop PC
Hi there,
I just purchased the Dell XPS 8940. I noticed on the back of the device it has two separate areas for monitor inputs, both areas have HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. On the documentation, one of these areas is labeled as "PCIe"
My question is, should I plug in my monitors in the PCIe inputs or the others or doesn't it matter? My main use is live Zoom calls. Thank you!

Hello @Davidfarr,
You are going to want to make sure you plug into the PCIe ports on the documentation. That is your dedicated graphics card, so it will give you the best picture and all display would likely come out of that first. -
Thank you! And DisplayPort is preferred over HDMI right?

Hello @Davidfarr
DisplayPort connection in general will be able to to support higher refresh rates and Resolutions for monitors. In most cases either one should work but you will want to check you monitor for the specifications as well
