What screen should I get for a 3080

I want something top of the line as long as it's not apple since I'm not a fan of them. Which screen would you say is best for a all around gamer? I've read different things some say the acer predator others says the odyssey g9

Hey @Geo, what kind of budget did you have in mind? Monitors can range greatly in price even on the top of the line!

Since the 3080 is quite a capable card you could take advantage of quite a few monitors and their capabilities. The Acer Predator range does offer some great monitors as well as the Odyssey. I would easily recommend both of them! Really, it depends on the specifics of what you're looking for and the budget available.

I want to get the best one I can so my budget would probably go up to 2500 at most

With a $2500 budget, you can get pretty much anything that you want. I'd probably go with the Samsung Odyssey G9 that you mentioned. Having an ultrawide with G-Sync and 240hz is pretty amazing. Otherwise, I'd probably go with the LG 27GL850-B, or if I were going with 4k the ASUS PG43UQ.

Isnt the odyssey also 4k?

It's not. It has a max resolution of 5120 x 1440 at 32:9. It still produces great quality in 1440p.

Wish I could try them both out to see which is better, I'll probably go with the Asus then

I'll be going to the Columbus store, although I probably wont be able to get the monitor until the end of next month since I still have to buy 2 parts and get the pc assembled, but hammering into overtime will give me enough in 2 weeks

Sorry to say we do not have these on display at this time. However, we do have similar 4k and ultrawide monitors on display in our Systems department. You might be able to get a feel for which style would best suit your preferences while you're in completing the purchases on the rest of your build!
