Wondering if there is any update about the Denver launch of the RTX 3060. Release time, vouchers, availability?
Hello @Six1YaDone and thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum.
We have limited information available for the RTX3060. We do hope to have some available and our stores will be handing out vouchers on a first come first served basis, limited to only the stock they have on hand on launch day.
Visit the store early before it opens, the store will share more information.
Curious too, hard to judge when to need to be there especially with the storm tonight. OP, do you plan on showing up early?
I plan on showing up early and hope the snow does not get too bad especially since I'm coming from the Springs. I heard somewhere that people just bring a chair to place in line then wait in their car, is this a valid way for holding your spot in line? Also, will there be other cards available besides the 3060?
@007onfire a chair is not a valid way and is NOT Microcenters recommend line process. But there needs to be a line for when the store opens for if there are large volumes of customers waiting to get into the store. So if customers outside the store are respectful with the chair approach, sure bring a chair to hold your spot. The store only cares that there is a respectful and cordial line upon opening for business. If the line does not meet this, they can choose to delay vouchers until the line meets these requirements.
No information for if there will be any other GPUs, there may be some, but no guarantee there will be other cards.
I am planning on showing up pretty early. I'm in the same boat though, not sure how early I should show up with the snow and all. I do plan to bring a chair, hand warmers ETC. Hoping that I don't need to use the bathroom haha..
@Six1YaDone good luck and good luck to everyone else in this post. Stay warm and drive safely to and from the store tomorrow.
@TSTDavey Thank you!
I think Ill be showing up around 2-3am. I'll post in here if/when people start showing up.
@TSTDavey Thanks for your responses.
@Six1YaDone Im going to try and show up between 4-5 am, I hope not too many people will be there by then
Aww man, you guys really think we need to be that early? I'm out here in NY and was gonna try and show up around 7 :(
Guess I better charge up the Switch and start thinking 6 or 5
@Glix With how high demand is I'm assuming that super early is my best bet to secure a card.
ya you better hope there will be enough cards and not a paper launch like last time and i live ny like you glix.
I mean I can go as early as I need to, there are just so many unknowns it makes it much harder for me to motivate myself.
I'll be watching, 2-3am sounds miserable. I'm attempting to build my first ever computer, didn't realize how competitive this was.
@maverick375 I think it's this competitive mainly because of the boom in Crypto mining during Covid on top of the tariffs.
I went to MC Peterson, NJ at 3:30am and there were already tons of people lined up around the corner of building.
They're holding their spot with chairs and carts or even sleeping bags. lol
I just came back cause all I want is RTX 3080s...
Wow, good luck to you.
I'm a tech-noob just trying to build a new gaming desktop, and heard about this graphics card being the best value. Then I read the rest! Too bad that data miners and re-sellers are snapping them up and using "bots" to buy them all up. First-come/first-served "seems" fair, until you live an hour away and there's 10" of new snow on the ground! With buyers suggesting coming in at 3am to wait inline, says. . "not worth it" for me." A lottery seems fair, but the re-sellers will load up the entries with multiple emails they've created. For re-sellers selling this series for thousands of $ on resale sites, gives one the reality of where this is all at. It was genuine for Nvidia to make this graphics chip in a way that was not "suited" for data miners, but they you get online and find tech advice how to make it suitable for date miners. wow
wow, this is crazy at 3:12am! Apparently only way microcenter will sell them. Thanks anyway!
when is the nvidia 3080 ti launching? is it tuesday may 25th?
There is not a release date for this item, any information will be released by NVIDIA. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/
I'd seen some rumors that they were coming at the end of the month. At least the announcements. Nothing announced from Nvidia yet.
