PowerSpec G436 case fan noise
Hey Folks,
I bought a PowerSpec G436 a few months ago and it has slowly developed a rattle in one of the top mounted case fans. I think it either needs replaced or just needs some machine oil on the central mechanism.
Can I bring this back to the store at which I bought it, for them to work on it?
Thanks!

Hello @Beersatron
Sorry to hear that you're having some issue with this fan.
You're welcome to bring your desktop into our service department at your earliest convenience. Our service department does not require an appointment. We'd be happy to take a look at this for you!

Look around here and also do a web search on Cooler Master AIO problems. Although it could be a fan, more likely it's the water pump on the cooler beginning to fail. Look at the thread below on this board. These AIO units are notorious for pump failure and the rattling you hear are bubbles trapped in the liquid cooling loop. The pump will eventually fail from what I've learned on researching this issue so keep an eye on your temps so you don't end up having to replace a CPU or MOBO along with a new cooler.

Thanks, I presume they can find a record of my purchase if I can't find the original receipt?

Thanks! I noticed that thread after my original post and have been reading/following it to see what other people have had to do.

Hello @Beersatron, we do have many ways of pulling up the purchase, so we would certainly be able to honor the one year warranty.

Just took it into the Houston store expecting to walk over to Raising Cane's and eat lunch while I waited. Except it apparently takes 1 to 2 weeks to work on it because they are so backed up. I can't leave it at the store for so long. And you can't get in a callback list, you have to leave it or just keep on coming back.

Yup, same issue with me. I'm not going to be without for an undetermined amount of time while they wait to get stock on replacement parts.
That's why I repaired (replaced) the cooler myself. If this one fails I'll put an air cooler in it.

I finally had time to drop it off on June 13, repair order says 2-3 days, it is day 6 and the online tracking tool says they have not even looked at it. The guy who checked it in wrote the diagnosis on the repair order. So I just did online chat, who emailed the service department and said it could take 48hrs for a response.
This is slightly ridiculous. Now I'm going to have to drive to the store just to get answers. -
Update. Drove to the store and talked with the service folks, my repair was accidentally skipped and they are going to work on it tomorrow.
I bought a new mouse and mouse-bungee stand while there .... -
@Beersatron Thanks for the update. Keep in the loop on how the repair goes.

It has been 3 weeks and everything is working smoothly.

Thank you for the update!
