Building a gaming desktop

I am new to this. Please look at my build and tell me what I should change. My budget is right around $2500

Greetings. We can look into this with you, just to get some more information - is this just strictly for gaming? No video editing / streaming etc?

Mostly daily gaming. Games that incorporate large multiplayer battles (ie- Total War games, Fortnite, CoD etc.). I would occasionally use it as a video streaming device, but that would be rare. Id be playing most game in 1080p (hence the monitor selection) but would want the option to upgrade to 4k when I wanted in the near future without having to upgrade components in my computer.

I made several changes to your build based on your budget and your goals. I think these changes will offer a great benefit.

As is, I'd say this build will well outperform your goal of 1080p.

The goal of 4k will offer some challenges to this build, depending on the refresh rate/FPS that you have in mind. I think this would be an excellent build for 1440p.

We did use a 3070 and a similar tier CPU to benchmark some titles recently. You can see what you might expect for FPS with this build and these titles. https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/5559/rtx-3070-review-and-benchmarks

I'd also recommend checking youtube to see if you can find benchmarks or gameplay with your CPU/GPU combo. Please let me know if you have any questions about this build and the changes I made! Hope this helps!
