Does the reservoir have to be attached to a fan or radiator?

The case I'm using, is a tight fit, unfortunately. The only location I found that I might be able to play the reservoir since it has to be upright is on the bottom of the case between the gpu and the motherboard, I don't have a fan bracket there but it looks like there is a place I could place one, does the reservoir pump need to be attached to a fan?

Hello, what brand/model of case and reservoir do you have?
-
No, a tube res can be mounted wherever you can fit it or want to place it.

I drilled holes in the rear of my case to mount the pump/rez. So, no, it can go where ever.
