I had MC build my last PC 4-5 years ago based on the Intel i7-4770k CPU. Can anyone suggest a significant CPU, MB & RAM upgrade to support video editing, etc. I don't do gaming. I have a $1000 budget and need 32G of RAM. I don't mind if it's Intel or AMD for the CPU. Your recommendation will complement 2 video boards; a NVIDIA GTX 1660 SUPER and a GTX 660. I also have 2 SSDs and 2 external HD.
Hello @Aeropricer and thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum. I've added a few links below that will give you an idea of the most up to date CPU and motherboard for video editing.
Look at the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and the X570 mobo from Gigabyte.
Ram is mentioned in the link, just go with DDR4-3200 from Crucial. I've also added the MC link to build your own PC with the parts you like from the links; it will give you an idea of the cost for if you want to use the MC PC Builder link.
