Cover flat metal inside surfaces with white self-stick shelf paper. That should brighten the dimmer areas. No risk of spraying paint or doing drips of same.

I brighten dark metal Corsair K95 RGB keyboards with white paper backing around the mechanical keys. Then I swap out the all black keys with white or clear skirted caps. Cheap upgrade really makes it brighter. Saw that trick on line and always wanted a whitened RGB keyboard to really glow. Also I bought a couple all white Zalman Z-Machine Gaming boards
