Thoughts on my PC build?
Budget: $1500, though I’d prefer not to go much higher than where I’m at right now.
Usecase: some gaming (RTX Minecraft and Flight Sim 2020, maybe some VR in the future).
I also want it for general purpose video editing, rendering, and AI. I’m also going to mine to get some of the cost back.
Any suggestions?
Also I might buy a 2nd GPU sometime in the future (maybe a 3070/80) and have the 3060 as the background processing card. Would this mobo suit that?
P.S. I already have the video card.

  • Hey @SpaceGuy

I like this build! It'll perform the tasks that you mentioned quite well while still giving you some room for updates down the road.

If you're looking to add another GPU in the future, I'd probably recommend a larger PSU, the recommend PSU for a 3080 is a 750W PSU, adding another GPU would exceed that recommendation, so I'd say an 850W PSU would give you enough headroom with the rest of the parts in your system.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

  • Thanks for the tips! I upgraded that PSU and I’m glad I did.
