I've got a G436 PowerSpec machine and I've got a question about wiping/restoring via Windows Recovery. I've created the USB image through the Windows Recovery Drive functionality, however I'm wondering what happens with the system's drivers. I'm assuming MicroCenter preloaded some drivers onto the machine and I'm not sure if they will be part of that recovery backup image Windows created or if I will be responsible for locating and installing them myself.
I'm worried because I recently discovered the MSI MOBO used (Z490 Plus) is NOT a retail board and there is no official support for it. Hoping that isn't the case with other components or it could make tracking down drivers difficult. Can anyone offer any guidance or instructions? Thanks!
Greetings,
We have the drivers that came with the PC available for download at http://www.powerspec.com/support/support_archive.phtml?selection=G436
Typically Windows will do any necessary driver updates, and video card driver updates would come from NVIDIA / NVIDIA GeForce Experience.
Hi, I have a G436 too, can we use a Gen 11 Intel in the Z490 plus?
We do not recommend changing the processor @GeeForce as this would affect the activation of windows. The motherboard does support LGA 1200 as a socket type.
