So you just finished building your brand new computer and....
Now what?
Your hard drive is your canvas, to be filled however you see fit. Where do you start? What are you installing first?
Personally, after I get my updates and everything out of the way, it goes:
Chrome -> ESET -> Steam -> Discord
and then everything else comes later, usually when I remember that "oh yeah, I should probably install Word"
Chrome -> Drivers -> Discord -> iCUE -> League
and then w/e comes up when i need it. I should install steam but i don't i have actually done and just install it when i want to play a steam game
Open Edge to install Chrome so I can get Discord and Steam.
Update for Windows , then find Itunes and get my music and playlists all squared away. Everything else can wait. Besides all the searching for and installing all those other apps is so much better when listening to the correct playlist!
Copy installer .exe files, game server files, and some pictures from a spare HDD to current PC -> Install Chrome -> Customize Settings -> Get rid of useless preinstalled apps -> Steam -> Discord -> Core Temp, TechPowerUp GPU-Z, Fraps, & iCUE -> Anything else that needs to be installed -> Steam games overnight.
I install the CPU first.
