PC shutting down and restarting during load of game, so far.
Hello all,
I just finished my build and running into issues when loading a single game so far. This is my build, all new parts with the exception of GPU:
CPU- Ryzen 5600X
GPU- Gigabyte GTX 1070 rev 1. (bought this used from friend)
RAM- Crucial Ballistix 2x8 GB 3600 DDR4 CL16 (outer package was damaged but sticks looks good)
Mobo- ASUS B550-F ROG STRIX
Case- Corsair 4000D
CPU cooler- Scythe Fuma 2
Storage- WD 500 GB NVMe
PSU- Corsair RM750x
OS- Win10 64 bit (transfered from other computer)
Screen- Samsung 55 inch KU6300 4K TV for now until a monitor comes in
Everything is plugged into a surge protector.
Upon the transfer of data from HDD to M.2, I made sure no BSOD happened. Updated in the BIOS to utilize the 3600 MHz of RAM and no BSOD happened. Did a Windows update followed by an update of the GPU driver using the NVIDIA website. I downloaded my games from Steam/Blizzard, Call of Duty World at War and Diablo IV, which run with no problem. Decided to check out Outriders, downloaded the demo and upon loading of it, I get a black screen maybe 3 seconds into the load and my computer restarts with no BSOD. It happens every time I try to load Outriders and has no issues with COD:WaW and D4. My assumption is because the latter 2 games are not as intensive as Outriders. I was thinking of trying another newer game that is intensive to see if my rig shuts down.
I ran Heaven Benchmark 4.0, which I know nothing about and got these results:.
Any troubleshooting advice? Any idea what the culprit is? Need any more details?
On a side note, I have noticed that sometimes my TV gets really bright then gets gradually darker... My suspect is the video card.

Greetings, the best way to test out if this would be an issue with your video card is to try a clean install of your video card drivers. Here is our guide on how to do this: https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/133-how-to-clean-install-video-card-drivers-in-windows-10
Once you do the clean install, test the game again

How are your thermals when you run cinebench in 4k on a 1070? Have you tried to adjust settings for the demo in nvidias dashboard? I'm curious if it is an issue with the GPU or just the game itself.
