What is the best, most cost effective way to add memory onto an Asus laptop?

I keep running out of memory & storage space on my laptop. I have an Asus X550V series. I am looking for the most cost effective way to add more on so i don’t have to buy a whole new one. I only have my laptop so i would likely have to take it to the store to get it done. I have already cleaned out & moved files over to my external hard drive. But i still have to uninstall my favorite (and only) video game.
