Advice on new monitor.

Greetings. What is your budget for the monitor?
-
I dont really have a budget for the monitor, but I still want to get a monitor that has good value.
-
For a 1440p monitor, this one would be a good choice. I see from other users/reviews it pairs well with a 3070 and 3080 LG 27GL850-B 27" QHD 144Hz HDMI DP FreeSync HDR G-Sync Compatible IPS LED Gaming Monitor - Micro Center
For a 1080p monitor, here are a few options: https://www.microcenter.com/product/620956/lg-ultragear-27gn750-27-fhd-240hz-hdmi-dp-freesync-hdr-pre-calibrated-ips-led-gaming-monitor
I know you said 165 Hz but at 1080p you can certainly get a higher refresh rate.
This one here is only 165 Hz over DP, 144 over HDMI.

Thank you so much! for the games I play and with the graphics card I have, do you think that having 1440p is a big enough difference to justify spending 200 dollars more than the 1080p one? I also do quite a lot of regular office work on my computer, and I want to know if 1440p is going to make my gaming/working experience that much better. Also, I'm sure you have a much better PC than I do, but what monitor/s do you use? Thank you!

Our builds are close but I think you have me beat! I just have a 3060. The monitor I currently use isn't exactly one I would recommend for you as I bought it awhile ago for my PS4. Before I thought I would be building a gaming PC, so its only a 60 Hz monitor.
I would say that getting a 1440p monitor would be worth it. You will notice a difference when gaming and also for work as you will have a little more room for multiple windows. Another reason I suggest getting a 1440p monitor now is because eventually you will want to upgrade to it.
It all comes down to your preference and your budget. If you can spend the extra money now then it would be best. That way you do not have to consider upgrading in the near future.
Remember that monitors come with 30-day return periods. So keep everything that comes with it including the box, manuals, cables, etc. If for some reason you are not happy with it or decide you want a different model, you can always bring it back.

Wow thank you so much. Will do on that 1440p monitor then! Thank you again for helping me today!
