I went to a store where they were selling things on a big sale. I found a G.SKILL TridentZ RGB pack of ram. It is DDR4 and has 8x2 sticks. There is no manual with them, so I'm not entirely sure what the speed of them are. I am currently using 2 8 gigabyte sticks of G.Skill DDR4 Ripjaws V, I think the speed is 2400Mhz. They are running on a b350 Tomahawk MB from MSI. I want to install them because I checked PC part picker and it said there are no compatibility issues, but I heard mixing different speeds can have an effect on how the pc runs. I just wanted to know if there are any steps I need to do in the bios before installing, and if it safe to do so. Thank you.
Greetings. There is not a sticker on the RAM itself? Typically RAM will have a sticker on it with its model number / information.
See an example below:
Yeah there was, they ended up being different speeds but the new one is faster so I just swapped them out.
