More storage

so i have this pc that i got from micro center: HP Pavilion Gaming PC; Intel Core i5 10400F 2.9GHz Processor; NVIDIA GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5; 8GB DDR4-2666 RAM; 256GB SSD; - Micro Center.

i recently installed more ram upgrading from 8gb to 12gb. i have a youtube channel and i need to have space to record and edit videos but i only have a 240gb pcie and i need more storage. im thinking i might get a 500gb ssd to install so i have both of them. i only want 500gb because thats what my old laptop has (and i never ran out of storage). so im wondering what the best ssd is to get. im thinking maybe something around $50 usd if thats possible. so what should i get and what cords do i need to hook it up. (if my pc doesnt already have any) thanks for the help!

It looks like your PC only has 3.5" bays so you would need an adapter to use a 2.5" SSD with it, such as https://www.microcenter.com/product/451220/sabrent-25-ssd-sata-hard-drive-to-desktop-35-bay-converter

You'd also need a SATA data cable such as https://www.microcenter.com/product/247547/evercool-7-pin-sata-female-connector-to-7-pin-sata-female-connector-sata-data-cable-18-in-red to connect the drive to your motherboard.
