Open Box Item Warranty
This past Sunday, I purchased an open box Lenovo Flex 5 from my local MicroCenter. When I registered the laptop, it said there was only 4 months left on the 12 month warranty - that the product was registered September 2020. I contacted Lenovo to see if I could get the additional 8 months since I had just purchased this product. They said they cannot complete this request since I purchased it open box. Is this correct? I thought I was purchasing a new item that just happened to have been opened, but it appears I purchased something that was used? I'm looking through records and no where does it indicated it was used, just open box. Is there no way to get the full 12 month warranty?
