Check this out - Valve made their own version of the Switch and the thing looks WILD:
IGN has all the breaking news, but steamdeck.com has a bunch of FAQs and in-depth looks, if you want it direct from Valve's mouth.
So, what do you think of the Steam Deck? Worth picking up?
This thing looks super packed of features but gonna have to see some more hands-on testing to see what it's really capable of.
Also can we talk about the name of this, we're gonna have a "Steam Deck" and "Stream Deck" on the market now.
When I first saw it, I did think that Steam bought Elgato
That would be an interesting idea. The Steam Streamdeck!
Came across this interesting article / interview with the devs regarding the Steam Deck -
Also Valve seemed to remember they have a YouTube channel and finally posted their own video about it -
This looks sick. Just the base model looks suspect. "64 GB eMMC" is SUPER horrible. The rest get an actual SSD.
Anyone else worried about the 2-8 hours of battery life? 2 hours is NOTHING on a long trip. I bet the 8 hours is on video playback not gameplay.
I'm going to wait for real world reviews before I jump in.... and an additional batter pack.
Have to agree there, very interested to see what the battery life is like depending on activity.
