Greetings, I would look over the following build in that price range:
Please let us know if you have any questions !
Yes. that would work.
What were you looking for in the motherboard?
Yes, it would be compatible.
A good way to compare motherboards would to be to put them into a comparison tool to review the features / ports etc. available to help make that decision such as: https://www.microcenter.com/endeca/CompareV2.aspx?returnUrl=L3NlYXJjaC9zZWFyY2hfcmVzdWx0cy5hc3B4P049MCZOVFQ9K0FTVVMrUk9HK1N0cml4K0I1NTAtRitHYW1pbmcrJk5USz1hbGwmcGFnZT0x
The B550 does support PCIe 4 and also has a thunderbolt USB connection. The B550 also has addressable RGB headers.
If these make a difference for you, it would be worth the price in my mind. It really just depends on what you want for your system!
You're welcome, please let us know if you have any other questions.
Just chiming in @GiovanniV. If its for the Ryzen 5 3XXX processor, look at the Gigabyte B550M DS3H, its microatx board but will fit in a mid-tower. Also take a look at the ASUS Tuf Gaming b550 Plus (wifi) motherboard.
Hope this helps.
@GiovanniV Okay, those boards I mentioned will work with a Ryzen 7 3XXXx processor as well as its all AM4 motherboards for the Ryzen processors. Those boards I mentioned were suggested based of the quality of the board within your price range.
