need help choosing parts

Hey yall,

I was recently able to be selected for the Newegg shuffle and was able to buy an MSI 3070 Ti Gaming x Trio. I had an original budget of 2000, but the GPU ended up taking almost half of it. I am willing to push my budget up to a reasonable number like maybe 2400-2500.

please check out my configuration and tell me what you think! (P.S. im also trying to include Tax so keep that in mind when looking or recommending parts/builds)

So one question I have is that when I plugged all my parts into the pc part picker it said there might be some issues with the BIOS and the CPU. More specifically it said "Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

From what I researched, I would need another CPU to update this. How would I do this if I don't have another CPU?

Yes, Some B550 boards will need updated. It all depends on which one you get. If it was released after 5th gen Ryzen was released then the BIOS will already have been flashed by the manufacturer. If that is the case the board will have a sticker on it stating Ryzen 5000 ready.

I looked up the board you have selected and you can flash the BIOS without a CPU installed. As long as you have a USB flash drive and another PC to download the BIOS file.
