How do I know if I have to flash my bios on my motherboard
I just bought a ASUS tuf gaming b550 plus motherboard and a ryzen 5600x cpu from the Tustin microcenter last weekend. But I don’t know if I have to flash my bios on the motherboard before starting my build. Idk how to call that specific store to get an answer on if their in store b550 motherboards are updated to a compatible or 5000 ready bios to work with the 5600x out the box. Any answers or help ? I plan on building my first pc later today and this has come up in my recent research as a possible issue.

or even yet. Will I at least be able to build my pc and have it work and turn on and then update to a more recent of bios once it works. I just want to know if it will turn on with the version of bios on the motherboard or do I have to flash it beforehand

Greetings, that motherboard supports the 5600X on every version of its BIOS since 1004 released about a year ago, so you should not need to update it. You can find that information on the manufacturer's website and is typically labelled on the box if it is ready for a specific generation of processor: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/TUF-GAMING-B550-PLUS/HelpDesk_CPU/
As a further note, I have deleted your duplicate thread with the same information.
