motherboard upgrade?

I currently have an ASUS A320M and am wondering if thats something I should look to upgrade? Im working on building up my cheaper PC into a legit gaming machine

Greetings, if you change out the motherboard, it will have to support the processor you have, since that appears to be a few generations old, if you're getting a motherboard currently sold, you will have to get a new processor that the new board supports. As Windows licenses are typically stored on the motherboard, you would possibly have to get a new copy of Windows as well.

ok, I currently have the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 I thought that would been good enough to just transfer. Im not 100% sure though as im fairly new to the gaming pc world.

That is actually still supported by any currently sold AMD motherboards.

All of the current AMD motherboards are using the AM4 socket so your processor will work with any new motherboard. The nice thing is too if you wanted to upgrade your processor down the road that will work no problem with a BIOS flash.
