PC Upgrade

I'm really considering upgrading my gaming desktop. The one I purchased from Digital Storm several years ago has been great and very reliable, but I feel it's time to boost its performance... specifically for gaming. Can someone give me a good idea on what parts I need to get to get a better gaming experience out of my pc?

My current build includes:

• V=Central processing unit (CPU): Intel Core i5 4690K 3.50 GHz
• Motherboard: ASUS/GIGABYTE (Intel Z97 Chipset) (SLI Ready)
• Memory (RAM): 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
• Graphics processing unit (GPU): 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB (Includes PhysX)
• Storage Set 1: 1x SSD (120GB Samsung 850 EVO)
• Storage Set 2: 1x (1TB Seagate (7200 RPM) (64MB Cache)
• Power supply unit (PSU): 600W Corsair CX
• System Cooling: AIR: High Performance Cooler with Large Fan and Copper Pipes

Please let me know if you need any other information and if you have some good suggestions. Also... can the Micro Center install new parts for me?

The Z97 chipset says your motherboard is from around 2014 or 2015, so any worthwhile upgrade will need to be a new mb, cpu, and ram. The rest of your parts, power supply/video card/case/ssd are all optional to upgrade or keep.
What's your budget?
Yes, mc can do the upgrade for a fee.

I'm looking at a budget of no more than a $1000, but now I'm not sure if that's feasible given your feedback. Please let me know. Thanks for your responses and help!

With the difficulty in finding video cards, and that you would need to change most parts already, if you can come up a little in your budget, you might want to consider a PC like this: https://www.microcenter.com/product/643370/powerspec-g167-gaming-pc
