i upgraded to windows 11 and im starting to notice that it is using all of my ram when im playing a game. i want to max out my ram so i never have to upgrade again. my motherboard limit is 32gb but i want to know if it would exeed the limit if it was a certain frequency. if so, where do i find the frequency limit? thank you!
Good Afternoon @Loganj
For the memory for this system if you look at the motherboard specification, it should tell you the maximum Frequency for the item. DO you have the model for the motherboard in question?
Ram that is rated for a faster speed is always fine to run slower. So if you find a good deal on some fast ram then just get it. It will work fine. Otherwise google for your exact model motherboard and you can find the max.
The memory upgrade info for this can be found on HP's website - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06638240
