battery life real low something wrong with charger
I have a Hewlett packard computer is about 7-8 years old. Makes a loud noise when starting up. Plus when fully charged at 100% computer will shut off after about 15 minutes. Should I take in to get repaired or get a new computer? Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
I would say it depends on the specs in this case. You might repair if it was a high end machine at purchase. Second gen i7 as an example. The battery is pretty cost effective to replace, and that sounds like the only issue there with your second issue. With the fan, the bearing is probably just wearing out. I'm guessing it sounds like a vibrating sound that quiets down after a minute or two. The fans aren't expensive.
