Phillip, this isn’t exactly what I was told by chat.  I was told that the website may not be updated and the only way to confirm stock was to visit my local store.

What you were told is actually correct. When we scan inventory in, the website is updated to reflect that, however it's important to keep in mind that the inventory is not updated until after it passes through the POS system, meaning we may have 5 cards listed as in-stock online, but if they are in a customers shopping cart in-store, you might not see them on the shelves and the inventory won't update to reflect that sale until after the checkout process is completed. The website inventory numbers also don't account for shrink via loss or theft, which requires manual inventory auditing. These are the reasons why the website might not accurately reflect what is actually on the shelves.

Sadly, even if you use the website to see the stock on the RTX 3000 series, I doubt they'll remain in stock long enough for that information to be useful to anyone. As @TSPhillipT mentioned, the supply of these cards are so limited that it's been almost impossible to keep any inventory on the shelves.
