What's happening to my pc monitor?
This started two days ago. Not sure what's going on. That ball of light does not belong there, it just made the screen go dark. The game crashed and the monitor turned off right after taking these screenshots. Any suggestions? I changed the monitor but it kept happening. I updated the GPU driver and it still happened. The first one was before update, the last two were after. . It's happened with every game I play, and they would eventually crash and the monitor would shut off and turn on again. As I was typing this, the screen kept glitching out.

Hello @frankv323
It seems like your GPU is having an issue rendering some visual assets. I'd recommend clean installing your GPU drivers.
I've linked an article above with steps and instructions on how to do this.
Let me know if this works for you.
Have you tried any other troubleshooting?
-
I have not tried any troubleshooting, but will try the clean install. Thank you. Still learning the website
-
Please give that a try and let us know if you have any other questions / issues.

I tried it. It let me play for a few minutes but then it slowly went black.
-
@frankv323 just chiming in. What computer is this on or what graphic card and motherboard are you using?
-
I have an asus X570-plus, rtx 2070 super, ryzen 3700x
-
@frankv323 Try updating your x570-plus chipset drivers. See link below. Then restart computer, make sure your power options for windows are on "High Performance" and then launch your game for testing.
Let us know the results. The next option may be to update your motherboard bios, but we'll see.

Still happening. I think it's getting faster.
-
@frankv323 can you elaborate on it getting faster? You did change your power options to "High Performance correct?
What power supply do you have this build?
You may need to update the bios. See links below. You'll need a USB drive.

At first it would slowly turn black, whenever I moved the camera. This last time it just consumed to whole screen without me moving anything.
This is my psu

@frankv323 try the bios update, or you can bring the system to our store for a diagnostic.
-
So because this is my very first build, I think I'd be more comfortable leaving a BIOS update to someone who knows what they're doing. I just don't want to mess something up, and if it does I can buy a replacement part on the spot.
-
I do appreciate your help, so thank you very much.

I can understand your caution. We're here for you! You can bring your computer into our service department for a diagnostic at your earliest convenience. No need for an appointment as our service department works on a first come first service basis.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

Thank you. Should I bring the monitor as well, or will the tower be enough?
-
Just the computer and power cable is needed.
