1st Build, is this good enough?
Building a PC for the first time, not really sure what I'm doing when it comes to picking parts
I would be creating + editing, illustrations, paintings, and graphic designs with this PC. So it needs to be powerful enough to handle the Adobe collection, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
I don’t currently create or design in 3D and don’t plan on using this build for any kind of 3D modeling or rendering in the future.
My budget is $1,400 USD. There’s not a lot of wiggle room there. However, I have plenty of extra keyboards, mice, and graphics tablets lying around that I won’t need to include in the budget. However, I don’t know that much about monitors, and color accuracy is a huge priority to me, so if y’all have any recommendations on those I'm interested in reading them.
I put together a build in the link below, please feel free to make suggestions

Greetings. Looking over everything there, it does look pretty solid. It looks like you have an ATX sized case picked out and a mini-ITX motherboard, you could save yourself a good bit on that budget by swapping over to a full size board such as https://www.microcenter.com/quickViewConfigurator2020/623730/asrock-z490-pro4-intel-lga-1200-atx-motherboard
Switching to a board like this wouldn't cut any features and would save you about $90. You can probably come down on the power supply wattage to something around a 650-750W supply and save some there too. You wouldn't run into issue with a supply of that wattage.
Is the monitor a part of your budget? We can definitely make some suggestions on that.

Hi Ian, thanks for responding. Your recommendation sounds good, I have already updated the list to include the full-size ATX motherboard you mentioned.
That's a good question about the monitor. I believe I have an older monitor in storage that I could use for the moment to not strain the current budget, but I would need to double-check before assuming that I still have it. 🤔

You're welcome!
As for the monitor, for design work, I'd start by taking a look at the following: https://www.microcenter.com/product/624528/asus-proart-display-pa248qv-241-wuxga-75hz-hdmi-dp-vga-freesync-pre-calibrated-ips-led-monitor
or the 27" version: https://www.microcenter.com/product/624539/asus-proart-display-pa278qv-27-wqhd-75hz-mini-displayport-hdmi-dvi-d-displayport-freesync-ips-led-monitor

Thank you so much for your response @Ian
If something on my list is out of stock, would it be easier to wait for parts to come back into stock, or pick a new part? 🤔
-
@SapphireStar just chiming in. It depends on how soon you want the build completed. Its better to have all you parts and your system be built all under one take, instead of returning to have an out of stock item installed. If you can wait until you have all your parts, then go that direction. If can't wait, then when a part is in stock. bring your build back to the store for installation.
