Need a replacement part

Hello @Rockord! Welcome to the Community.
Did you purchase one of these as a standalone case, or did you purchase a Powerspec system that that uses it as its case?
-
Okay. In that case, your best bet is probably to contact Lian Li directly as we don't carry individual side panels for these cases. What happened to your side panel, did the glass shatter?
-
Yes the glass did shatter. And I tried emailing them, however they did not get back at me. Do you know any other way to contact them directly?
-
Can you private message me the purchase information for the case? I looked up your email and couldn't find it. Reference number from the receipt if you have it, last name/zip code/phone number otherwise.
-
My glass just shattered, too! First time I tried to open it and about 5 hours after purchase. Just tried sliding it open and it exploded. Is this a known feature of these and, also, how do I get a replacement? I did buy mine as part of a Powerspec system, though.

I havent gotten any word back from the Lian Li customer service and its been a few days. Same issue with in 24 hours of building the system the side panel slide off after untightening 1 thumb screw.

I too had my glass shatter. How can I get a replacement. As some have said, just unscrewing the panel seemed to cause it to shatter.
-
Please help, my glass just did the same.

I had my side panel break not even a month later. I was wondering what it would take to get a replacement.
-
Hello @Mayve I will email you requesting for additional information from you.
-
Hi, the glass on my power spec did the same. Please help!
-
Hello @Vchau21 Please expect an email from us!

Yes just sent the info
-
at this point, this glass shattering issue seems like a big issue.
-
This doesn't seem like a big issue to me, but I can see how you might think so if you see the interest in this post. However, the number of responses here vs. the amount of these cases that are sold is quite small by comparison.
I should mention, the side panel is tempered glass, meaning that it is under pressure. Dropping or putting pressure on the corners of said glass will cause it to break. That's just the nature of tempered glass. It's to do with the way the grains of the glass pulls in when the glass is quenched, but the process makes the corners weak and the center quite strong.
Because of this, I'd always recommend that you use caution when handling this type of glass.
I hope this info helps!

This happened to me and my son as well. Our first gaming pc build and when we were sliding the glass off for the first time it broke. Who can I contact for help or do I have order a custom cut plexi glass?
-
Hello @J_23
I've emailed you about this. Please check your inbox.

I just experienced this as well. Removing the side panel and the glass shattered in my hand and onto the floor. I’ve been building PCs for 25 years with plenty of models containing tempered glass, including other Lian Li products. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this happen. The protective film is still on the panel.
