Corsair SP120 RGB Pro Installation
I picked up a 3 pack of these Corsair SP120 fans as the front fans for my case replacing the default fans. I have all 3 fans installed and hooked up to the RGB hub provided, which is plugged into the USB slot on the motherboard. The problem is I don't know how to plug the fans themselves in. The fans come with 3-pin connectors, and the system fan connectors on the motherboard are 4-pin (I am using the MSI Gaming Edge B550 motherboard). Do I need to pick up an adaptor or a splitter, or is there something I'm just missing that's right in front of me?

Hello @mmoroski and thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum. You can connect your 3-pin fans to the 4-pins connections on the motherboard. The fans will work fine. 4-pin connections are usually for fan speed control. With 3 pin connections, the motherboard will control your fan speeds.
No adapter is necessary.

Since it is still usable that is good to know. But is having fan speed control something that is worth searching for a 4-pin adapter for the fans?

Don't believe they really have first-party adapters for this, Corsair would recommend using a controller to accomplish this, such as https://www.microcenter.com/product/479494/corsair-commander-pro-digital-fan-and-rgb-lighting-controller

Might pass on that for now. Doesn't seem like fan speed is that huge of an issue for me at the moment, and since I got the 3-pack, it at least came with the RGB hub for lighting up my 3 fans. Thank you for your input though! Will consider that controller down the line.
