replacement case fan
Trying to replace a fan that started making horrible noise.
Original fan is coolermaster a12025-12cb-3bn-f1 other number on label is DF1202512SELN
Case is a coolermaster storm trooper
the fan has 5 wires and 2 connections that are both used to hook it up.
One is female and has 3 wires
other is male and has 2 wires
I think one controls the speed and lights from the controller on top of the case and the other goes to the board and provides power.
trying to replace with one with the red leds so that I don't have to change that scheme but willing to change all the fans as long as they work with the unit and controller.
Any help much appreciated

Hello, looks like your existing fan is a 120mm fan, so this replacement should work: https://www.microcenter.com/product/600283/corsair-af120-red-led-hydraulic-bearing-120mm-case-fan

yeah I looked at that one but it only has the 1 connector - the one I'm replacing has 2 and both are needed. 1 has the three pin female and 1 has 2 pin male. I'm pretty sure that one of them is what connects the fan to the controller.

Here's a pic of the connections in case I'm not explaining things right.

We don't carry any fans with 3 pin + 2 pin. The case fans we'd sell would either be a 3-pin or 4-pin -
It appears this is an older fan you're trying to replace. Looking them up online it seems like they were fairly proprietary / uncommon to that line of cases (the fans with the extra 2 pin)
You might be able to find some used third-party replacements online but it looks pretty scarce and who knows on the use / condition of those, I'm seeing listings on eBay etc.
A 3-pin replacement should work fine for fan power and since the RGB is built-in, it should power that as well, but won't fill both connections.

Hey @WolfinLV !
Would it be possible that the second connector is intended to daisy chain fans together in the case?
