Greetings, I do not see why there would be any issues with that build.

  • I just wanna know because I use pcpartpicker and I pick out the same part and gave me notes or warning saying this port won’t be able to be use or this can’t connect to that or the cpu won’t work with this
  • Oh forgot thanks for the help Ian

What does the note exactly say? It's an AM4 processor with an AM4 board, there shouldn't be an issue.

It's likely referencing the B550 board's PCIe 4.0 M.2 limitation when using slots M2B_CPU and M2C_CPU. To explain this, the primary PCIe 4.0 X16 slot is wired at 4.0 X16. If you throw an M.2 PCIe SSD into M.2 slot M2A_CPU, that PCIe 4.0 X16 slot will continue to run at X16 speeds. If you throw an M.2 PCIe SSD into M.2 slots M2B_CPU or M2C_CPU, that PCIe 4.0 x16 slot will operate at X8 speed because it shares bandwidth with those slots.

There is another limitation of the board as well involving the bottom PCIe x16 slot

The PCIEX4_2 slot shares bandwidth with the SATA3 4, 5 connectors. The PCIEX4_2 slot operates at up to x2 mode when a device is installed in the SATA3 4 or SATA3 5 connector.

You'll be fine. Everything looks compatible and should hopefully go together without issue. Take your time during assembly and you should be good. Be sure to install that M.2 SSD in the top M.2 slot to avoid any PCIe performance penalties going forward. While an RTX 3070 doesn't need full PCIe 4.0 X16 bandwidth, it doesn't hurt to prep that installation into the correct slot in case you upgraded GPU's in the future.

    •  Warning! Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.
    •  Note:NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port, but the Gigabyte B550 AORUS MASTER ATX AM4 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port will not be usable.
    •  Note:The Gigabyte B550 AORUS MASTER ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the NZXT C 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it.
    •  Note:Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.

thanks but this what the warning or note it gave me

  • this is my first time building not sure what i need

  • also forgot to mention can this build hand a 240hz monitor with a 1ms and amd freesync

That first warning could definitely be a concern if that board is older stock that has been sitting on the shelf, but our stores have made it a priority to stock these boards with support for Zen 3 and you'll see stickers on the boxes denoting this:

Speak with the sales rep for help locating this sticker or for general questions regarding BIOS support. Alternatively, you can visit Gigabytes website for details here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B550-AORUS-MASTER-rev-10/support#support-cpu

That second warning is informing you that the motherboard you chose doesn't have an internal Type C header to make use of your chassis front panel Type C port. This just means that port will not function unless you buy a PCIe card with a USB Type C header or upgrade to a motherboard with that header available.

That last warning is a complete non-issue. The 8-pin EPS connector can safely supply up to 300W of power without an issue and the extra 4-pin is for an additional 150W auxiliary power. It's great if you are pushing exotic overclocks using LN2 or Dry Ice, but even with PBO, you won't be exceeding 300W with AMD's 142W PPT socket power limit, even with a 5950X.

It would depend on the resolution. 240hz 1080p? Absolutely. 240hz 1440p? You may need to lower settings in some of the more higher-end AAA titles (Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, Metro Exodus, etc). For E-Sports and Battle Royale titles, you should be fine even at 1440p.

  • thanks for the help you guys

Unfortunately video cards are very hard to find at this time. These are going to be limited availability items, so these items can only be purchased in-store and are unavailable to be reserved ahead of time.

We recommend stopping by your local Micro Center for the most up-to-date stock count.

  • i don't think i have a micro center near me because i live in canada

I see, the only video card sales we do at Micro Center would be directly at our stores.
