New Location..?
Hello Micro Center!
I just wanted to ask, if you're planning to expand your business to more locations in the US, could you add a Micro Center store in Charlotte, NC?
We North Carolinian losers don't have any locations near us, and I feel like a location would fit in Charlotte so well, due to it being a very popular attraction for industry of all sorts. I, and many others most likely, ask that whoever can decide where locations are put, considers this.
Thanks, and have a good evening!

Greetings,
Thank you for posting on the Micro Center Community! Thank you for providing us a location you think a Micro Center would be great at! I don't really have the pay-grade to make the decision of opening up a location but I can send this to the people that are and see their thoughts and opinions!

I can only agree. Charlotte, NC would be a great location. I was actually just looking for a post asking for new microcenter locations. But seeing that Charlotte, NC is already requested is awesome because NC does not have any locations. And atlanta is too far away. Make it happen!

Thank you for your suggestion!

The site of the former Best Buy store in Kingston, New York would be another place to look at. It's next to a Target and close to a Wally World and a Sam's Club.
Kingston itself isn't much, but it draws customers from throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley, as well as from Delaware, Greene, and Schoharie Counties; and also from Columbia County, which is right across the river and a quick drive (or a long swim).
An electronics store in Kingston would also draw customer from Albany, which is the state capitol. All they have up there is Best Buy and... well, they suck. So you'd get lots of traffic from Albany. Just be careful accepting credit cards from the politicians because they're probably stolen.

Hello, thank you for the suggestion!

I wish Micro Center would come next to my school
-
I wish for there to be Micro Centers all along the Earth!

This hasn't been updated in a while, but in a tweet Micro Center mentioned wanting to be in Las Vegas. Are they planning on doing that, because I know a lot of people who are interested in making and buying computers. It would also be a very nice accommodation.

We could sure use on in San Diego. Now that Fry's is gone, there are no decent computer stores in San Diego. The next closest one is in Tustin, which is 90 minutes away.
-
Hello! Perhaps one day it will happen!

hello, I wanted to throw my two cents in. you have stores surrounding wv, almost. but the closest one is a couple hundred miles away. how about a store in north central wv? Morgantown would be a good location. There's a lot of traffic through there, from multiple states. A lot of new stores are coming into Morgantown. There's also Fairmont, a new mall being put in. or Clarksburg.
Thanks.

The sadest day was when you guys left us in Santa Clara. The Silicon Valley ( Sunnyvale/Santa Clara/San Jose ) would sure love to welcome you guys back with open arm. Tustin is over 6hrs drive, from the Bay area.
-
Greetings. Thanks for your interest. I know we were there at one time a few years ago, perhaps one day we will re-open in that area!
-
I want to add to this: There's still an empty lot where Fry's Electronics used to be in Woodland Hills/Warner Center. If Micro Center could open a new store there I think it would be awesome. It's a really popular area too with the Topanga Mall and Village being nearby too.

Dover Delaware would be nice...Delaware is one of the states that dont have sales taxes guess how many people will visit from other states to buy electronics...
-
Hello,
I know it has been said many times on here and all over reddit, but a NC location would be awesome for not only Microcenter but the NC residents too. Werther it be in Charlotte (Or just outside in cheaper real estate of Concord), Raleigh, (or just outside in Cary or Durham). It would be so much better then sending our money to Newegg, Best buy, Amazon, etc. Or having to make the 4hr. drive over to the nearest GA location.
Just my two cents, thank you for the time and great work your company does.

We would love to expand to all states one day! That's the dream! Until then we will pass this along to our real estate team
-
We get so many requests for North Carolina! We will be sure get this over to our real estate team!

I know I'm a little late to the party here, but I made an account just to help get a location out in NC. I'd be more than willing to drive 3 hours to Charlotte to shop with Micro Center after all the LTT I've been watching. Especially with how Newegg's been acting lately.

I just moved from the Denver area to South Carolina, and the only thing I really miss here is Micro Center. I loved browsing the store and the help I would get when building equipment. It was often also a life saver when something stopped working and you needed a replacement NOW. I understand that in this age of online sales a Brick-and-Mortar store is not an easy feat to accomplish, but please look into expanding your nation wide presence. Although I would appreciate a location closer than a 4 hour drive (Greenville SC anyone?), I can imagine residents north of the line connecting LA, Denver, Minneapolis would appreciate a location nearby. How about Seattle for instance?

Hello, thanks for your interest in a Micro Center in South Carolina. Perhaps one day it will happen!

Hello Micro Center!
Thanks for coming to my bootzine location.

Reviving this thread and making the case that if you're gonna build a new Micro Center anywhere near North Carolina, it definitely needs to be in the Triangle. Sorry rest of NC and surrounding states, but if a Microcenter is gonna thrive anywhere it will be here.
Just look at the directory listing of companies already in RTP... And a few highlights off of that list are Dell, Lenovo, IBM, NetApp, all of our biotech companies. Did I forget to mention that Facebook and Google already have office space here and Apple has purchased a plot where they plan to bring in 3000 employees to their facility?
Oh, and don't forget RTP being right in the middle of Duke, UNC @ Chapel Hill, and NCSU. Along with all of our tech-focused schools....
I also didn't want to miss the opportunity to plug our startup incubator at the Frontier in RTP, as well as all of the new businesses coming into the new Boxyard?
Tag me in coach, let me present to corporate all the good things about coming to RTP. :P

Hello @Onawa56
We get so many requests for North Carolina! We will be sure get this over to our real estate team!

What will it take to get a Micro Center here in Little Rock, Arkansas ? So many people in this Capitol drive all the way to Dallas to visit a micro center and this drive is getting old. The company would make so much money to bring a location to Arkansas. Cmon
-
No plans at the moment, however, Arkansas is highly requested. Who's to say what the future may hold? 😉
