Operating system
I've recently been getting into pc building but one thing always confuses me when on this website. Now when you're building a pc you come to the part where it says operating system. Do we have to choose one? I'm seriously lost lol

Hello @Auggo
The operating system is something you will need once your PC is built and powered on. Now there are free operating systems out there such as Linux, but for a gaming PC you will want to install Windows 10.
What you are paying for is the license key needed to activate Windows. You can create the Windows 10 USB and install it for free (here is how) but you will need one of these Windows license keys to unlock the full features of Windows 10 and get rid of the watermark in the corner of the screen.

So I actually have to spend an extra 100 bucks for that? Welp it is what it is. Thanks :)
