Need help Building a PC: around $2000 Gaming PC
Looking to move from mac to a pc. Mac isn’t cutting it for me. In need for a major upgrade. I’m looking to invest in a pc that I can use for gaming, work (amazon, eBay type platforms) and school.

Greetings,
I would look over the following build in that price range:
This is put together with the thought that the $2k was for the parts, not any peripherals. Please let us know if you have any questions!

would this build work?
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
MSI MAG CORE LIQUID 360R 78.73 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard
G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Western Digital Blue 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Asus GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB DUAL OC Video Card
EVGA SuperNOVA GA 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

I have to say Hermes has a better selection; I've noticed that MC really, really want people to buy 550 chipset motherboards for some reason but why anyone would give up the choice for Gen 4 PCIe that's only on the 570 is beyond me. When I got a new mb in person I had to insist on the 570 I got when the guy at the store implied I was making a bad choice over the 550 he tried to steer me toward.
G.Skill is really good but I prefer Corsair's Vengence series memory. Your choice.
If you want an AIO liquid cooler, the Corsair H150 or NZXT Kraken or Arctic Freezer are probably better than the MSI Mag Core.

Yes that would be fine, you would have no issues with that part list.
