Does this mean I have faulty ram?
Hi, I recently just upgraded my ram from 3200mhz 2x8Gb to 3600mhz 2x8Gb. I have B550 motherboard and a ryzen 7 3700x cpu. After installing the new ram, I frequently get blue screens with different stop codes. Some examples are, (irql_not_less_or_equal, memory management, driver verifier detected violation, kernel security check failure.) I have had more BSOD stop codes but can't quite remember them. Does this mean I have faulty ram?

Greetings. Were you receiving any of these blue screens prior to installing the new RAM?

Means it's unstable. First thing to do is let the memory retrain. Go into the BIOS, disable XMP. Save and exit, then go back it enable it. Save and exit, let the new memory train. If the original RAM was 3200 CL16, and you upgraded to 3600 CL18, entirely possible it's trying to run on the old profile. The tighter timings could cause the instability.
Please tell us the model of both RAM kits.

I don't know the model of the old kit. It was some plain green open pcb ram made by samsung I got from a lenovo legion tower 5 amd prebuilt. The new kit I got is trident z royal(CL18-22-22-42 /1.35v). And previously with the plain green ram, I was not getting any blue screens. Only after I switched them out to the trident z royal I started getting blue screens frequently.

Old kit was CL22. Doesn't say whether the 3200 is a JEDEC or XMP profile. CL22 is much looser than your new CL18 memory, but it did run at 1.2V. The new kit running at 3200 CL22 1.2V could create the instability you're seeing. I'd try what I suggested. Hi, so I have done what @TSMikeW suggested and so far it seems to be working. I haven't had any crashing in the past 2 days. It seems to be working fine now, but I'll report back to y'all if continues to happen. And thank y'all for helping me! And last thing, here's the pictures you requested @TSMikeW.

You're definitely on the XMP profile now. 3600 18-22-22-42 1.35V. You shouldn't have an issues now, you can run the built in windows memory diagnostics as a stability test.
