Please help me, this is my first build.
I'll go ahead and close the discussion thread for you since you have been assisted with your question. Feel free to open another discussion if you have additional questions.
Please define "budget" - And in my experience building my own PCs for 30 years now, motherboards on the cheap end are not worth it. Please get a model that's at least $100-ish.
I will define it majority, I want to get a motherboard that is less than 120. I don't want to buy a cheap one, but I don't want to have to pay another 200 dollars for a BIOS update.
Will a Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI work out of the box with a 5600x?
Probably not work out of box, you would probably need to do a bios upgrade, but it would definitely work. And you don't need to pay $200 for bios upgrade, you can easily do it yourself. All you need is an USB flash drive
Yes, you wouldn't be paying $200 to have a BIOS update done (if it even needs to be done), if you were accounting for that in your budget, I would reconsider what you're willing to spend on the board.
When I said 200 dollars for BIOS update, I meant I don't want a motherboard that doesn't have BIOS flash and I need to buy a secondary CPU. Sry for not clarifying. I just don't want to spend A LOT on a motherboard when I don't need a top of the line one. I just need a decent motherboard that will not blow up my wallet. Around 120 dollars is what I would be ok spending.
Major naming brand mobos will definitely have usb bios flash method. For mobo I recommend b450 tuf plus II, it is the sockpuppet of b550 tuf(same board, same vrm, same port other than pcie3.0 vs pcie4.0), which is enough to kick up to a 5900x.
Well, I don't need that computing power, this computer will be used for gaming and other stuff. Later down the road, I am going to upgrade my hardware though. I just need the 5600x bc I won't bottleneck my RTX 3060 OC edition and it will also be able to run games no prob. Unless you think I need to have a 5700x, I don't think I need that. But thanks for the tip on the motherboard, let me check it out.
There are no motherboard manufacturers who charge for bios updates
When I say that F mean I don't want to buy another CPU for a BIOS update sry lol. Now, I am going to get a 11700k but thx for the help. I know the motherboard to thanks.
When I say that I mean.
