defective open box cell phone

i bought a nokia 3.4 cell phone 1/31/22 and the battery is bad and wont charge now. this was an open box phone andit was in a ziplock bag with yellow sticker & no extras with it
can i bring this into the store and get a store credit to pick out another phone
