Upgrading to ASUS EKWB 3070 From a 2070 Super. Need Water Cooling Parts Suggestions!

Wow, I tried so long to get one of those and eventually gave up!

To go with it you need:

1) A pump or preferably a pump-reservoir combo unit such as a Corsair XD3 (depends on your case what will fit, this is a small one that fits in a lot of cases): Corsair Hydro X Series XD3 RGB Pump/Reservoir Combo - Micro Center

2) A radiator. Depends on your case what will fit, a 3070 is perfectly fine with a 240mm one such as: Corsair Hydro XR5 Dual 280mm Water-Cooling Radiator - Micro Center

3) You need to decide on hard or soft tubing. Honestly hard tubing is difficult but looks great. Soft tubing is easy and forgiving to the beginner. Then fittings to match. Corsair Hydro XT 3/8" (10 mm) x 1/2" (13 mm) Softline Tubing 3 ft. - Clear - Micro Center and Bitspower G 1/4" Straight Compression Fitting - Black Sparkle - Micro Center

4) A jug of purified water from the grocery store to test that there are no leaks. Then dump that out and use proper coolant: Corsair Hydro X Series XL8 Performance Coolant 1L - Clear - Micro Center

First thing to note: The above examples are Corsair branded but everything in water cooling is standardized on a format called G 1/4. So your Asus brand card's water block will work with whatever brand. The only things that need to be careful matching are in item 3 above, the fittings inner/outer diameters MUST match the selected tubing inner/outer diameters.

Second thing to note: The above is absolute minimum. Really you should also have a T junction fitting and a drain valve to make it easy to get the fluid out.

PS - Some fans to go on the radiator but you might already have some so I didnt list them.

I got a great card and put a water block on it myself, so it ended up OK. I just had wanted one of those ASUS EK because they look great and are single slot.
